"where's my money" stewie

According to Google Analytics, " 'where's my money' stewie" is the number one search term leading people to "The Dolf Zone". In fact, seven out of the top eleven search terms bringing people to this site are variations of this search string. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, this is a Family Guy thing. Specifically, it is in reference to a scene from the "Patriot Games" episode in which Stewie nearly beats Brian to death over a gambling debt. (Read my review Watch the clip)

Many of you are probably looking for the elusive Family Guy reference. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a definitive answer for this one. Of course I might be wrong. I have checked the The Family Guy Reference Archives and there has not been an update yet. I have a great idea for that site: Let people see the pending references!

I think Stewie's beat downs of Bryan are composites of several famous mobster bludgeonings. The two scenes that immediately come to my mind are from The Sopranos and Goodfellas.

In the Sopranos scene, from episode 1 titled "The Sopranos", Tony beats the living sh*t out of his friend "Mahaffey" over the "issue of an outstanding loan". Tony asks, "Where's my f*cking money?" as he brutally pummels Mahaffey, who is lying on the ground with bone fragments coming through his leg. (Read the transcript - 4th paragraph)

The Goodfellas scene involves an altercation between Robert De Niro's "Jimmy" and toupee store owner "Marty". As De Niro strangles Marty with a telephone cord he says, "You got money for your bullshit television, don't you? You got money for that, but you don't have my money?" This is very similar to Stewie getting furious over the fact that Brian had money to spend on a fake moustache. (Read the complete screenplay)

I hope this helps you obsessive Family Guy fans out there. Jeez, why don't you get a life... If there is a more definitive reference, please post it in the comments section and I'll report on it ASAP!

this scene was not very funny. it was nothing compared to the fight from the south park episode "cripple fight."
