Start Watching Scrubs!

I ran across this disturbing piece of news on Zap2it TV:

Airing in Tuesday double doses since January, "Scrubs" has averaged fewer than 6.5 million viewers per episode.

This does not bode well for the show. So please start watching this great comedy now! Don't you see it over there on my "Dolf's Top TV" list?? Is that not enough? C'Mon! If another one of my favorite comedies gets cancelled this season I just might not make it...

And to NBC, I ask, why don't you give Scrubs a shot on Thursday? Move My Name is Earl to 8:00pm, put a promising pilot in at 8:30pm, move The Office to the Seinfeld/Cheers slot at 9:00pm and put Scrubs in at 9:30pm. This would be a killer comedy lineup. I also think Scrubs would be a perfect lead-in to ER. You would have the high dollar doctor demo all wrapped up!

One piece of good news... Scrubs is now vailable for download on iTunes. Hopefully, it will enjoy the same success as The Office on Apple's download service.

Hi,

I live in the Netherlands. I don't believe Scrubs on TV here. Since when is it broadcasted on NBC?

Kind regards,
Martijn Fransen

Scrubs has been on NBC since 2001. It is now available for download on iTunes, or should be very soon...

Couple of other casualties from the past of great shows to either get cancelled or suffer a similiar fate....

1. SportsNight - one of the most entertaining shows and a great ensemble cast

2. NewsRadio - moved around so much it had little chance (and replacing Phil Hartman w/ Jon Lovitz has got to be the worst casting move in history)

3. The Naked Truth - great show with a newly discovered comedic talent in Tea Leoni. Hopes were high when another network picked it up but they re-tooled and it was never the same.

NewsRadio was very good! And in a world before Tivo, it was very difficult to keep track of the show due to the constant schedule changes.
