American Idol Predictions

Last night's "The Music of Elvis Presley" was surprisingly one of the best, if not the best, American Idol theme shows of the year. Out of eight performances, six were very good.

Taylor Hicks: A - "In the Ghetto" and "Jailhouse Rock" - As expected, Taylor delivered. Of course, the night's theme was tailor-made for him. I thought both performances were great.

Chris Daughtry: A- "A Little Less Conversation" and "Suspicious Minds" - Chris also put on two very good performances. However, both were a bit reserved.

Elliott Yamin: B+ "Trouble" and "If I Can Dream" - Elliot was great, although I didn't like his song pics. I am confident he did well enough to propel himself into next week.

Katherine McPhee: C-
"Hound Dog/All Shook Up" and "Can't Help Falling in Love" - Katherine's "Hound Dog/All Shook Up" medley would go over well at a Paramount's Kings Island family night show. The fact that she was smiling all throughout "Can't Help Falling in Love" proves she didn't "get" the song.

P.S. Did anyone else think Tommy Mottola was hitting on Katherine during their practice sessions?

Unless Mr. Mottola is able to pull some strings for her, Katherine is going home tonight.

P.S. Controversial AI site, has predicted that Chris will be gone tonight. I don't think it's going to happen... So it's The Dolf Zone versus DialIdol. Let's see who wins! C'mon!

There's no way Chris is going home tonight! I think the DZ is going to win this one.

Agreed, McFever is going home...
