Survivor to Divide Teams by Race!

Segregation is back! Jeff Probst announced that teams in this season's Survivor will be grouped by race and ethnicity. Probst said the concept "actually came from the criticism that 'Survivor' was not ethnically diverse enough."

My guess is someone is going to get very mad about this twist regardless of the shows' intentions.

Survivor: Cook Islands premieres on Thursday, September 14th at 8:00pm on CBS.

Quite frankly, people who get upset about this ARE racist. Let's delve a littler deeper.

1) Survivor has been historically lacking in minorities. By having even teams built on race, 3/4 of the contestants are REQUIRED to be minorities. Sounds unfair to whitey to me, but definitely not racist.

2) We can divide by age and sex, but not race?

3) If everyone is supposed to be equal, which is being dealt out with these teams, only a racist would say any team has an unfair advantage over another.

As you can see (and statistically speaking,) only racists cry 'RACISM!!"

Plus, this will make excellent television if any of the CONTESTANTS are racist.

Go figure; NYC getting pissy about something. Soon they'll be bitching about how they not only invented Survivor, they also invented Racism, and anti-Racism.

Those New Yorkers: always have to be better than you.
