American Idol Season 6 Prediction

Many of you have been clamoring for my expert American Idol analysis. Well here it is... Let me save you hundreds of hours of your life over the course of the next three months.

There is no doubt in my mind that Chris Sligh (aka Mophead, Sideshow Bob, or Fat Justin) is going to win this season. He has the best personality, a good sense of humor, a versatile voice, and that elusive likeability or X-factor.

Now what are you going to do with all of those hours I just saved you? You owe me!

I think he hurt his chances when he showed the world that he has a hot blond wife. A lot of people would be on his side because he appears to be the underdog, and that fact combined with his talent and humor make him a strong contender. But when an "underdog" has a wife better looking than 95% of the wives out there, people become a lot less inclined to root for him. He no longer seems like just a great guy who's been held back by people focusing only on his weight instead of his talent.

He may yet win, but I don't see it as a sure thing.

Interesting how you picked the contestant that most resembles you.

Hey MattyP, Just because you were eliminated from the Amazing Race this week, don't take it out on me!!!

If there ever was a show that was created with Tivo in mind, it was American Idol. I refuse to watch if not pre-recorded. A 2 hour show can be watched in easily half of that by buzzing thru all fluff. Until the contestants get down to 10 or so, I'm not ready to get to know them on an intimate level. I don't care about the grandma's or girlfriends of 20-some strangers. Get me a top 10 (and an hour long show) and I'll start watching more of that.

I tend to agree with Dolf, but hold out the possibility for Sundance for most of the same reasons. Any of the girls with talent are seriously lacking in the other "skills" required to win it all.

i completely agree... he should have kept his hot wife a secret! maybe he'll be smart enough not to mention her until after the finals...

You read my mind...the hot wife killed his chances of winning! I was secretly crushing on him until he revealed that he's married...deal breaker...

Where is the 'Ace' this year? This year is such a buzz kill...why didn't America vote off two of the crappiest singers ever last night? It's painful to watch!

Seriously? No Dolf commentary on American Idol? That was the only reason I dropped by this blog. Jeez. Well see ya'... not really, though ... you know, without the Idol chatter, I'm pretty much uninterested.
