Blake Scores! Part II

Blake did the impossible last night... He delivered a solid rendition of a Police song. In fact, I thought he did a great job with "Roxanne", which is perhaps one of the hardest Police songs to pull off.

Of course, it was the Police that sent Chris Sligh, my early pick, packing his bags. Although Chris had a solid voice, his version of "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" was unbelievably bad.

When it comes to singing contests and band covers, there are certain bands and artists that it's just best to avoid. And I would say The Police definitely fall into that category.

A few weeks ago I predicted a Blake vs Jordin final. After last night's show, I think there is a good chance of that happening. Stay tuned...

Roxanne is not a hard song to sing: squeal in a high-pitched voice. It IS, however a hard song to sing well, and if you can do that, you have succeeded where very few, INCLUDING STING HIMSELF, ever will.

But who cares about singing the damn song? Play the Roxanne drinking game instead. It makes the Police much more entertaining. If you can sing the song AND play the drinking game, the hilarity factor is through the roof.

Never played it... But I am going to guess that you drink every time he says "Roxanne"???

That's one version.

The other version is to get into 2 teams: one team drinks on each "Roxanne", and the other team drinks on each "red light".

If this season of AI has taught us anything, it's that Dolf has a huge man-crush on Blake.

Jordin wins and outsells Fantasia, Rueben and Taylor.
