R.E.M.'s Accelerate

Depending on the day, it's usually a toss up between Nirvana, The Beatles, The Smiths, U2, and R.E.M. for the coveted Dolf's Favorite Band of all Time award. So I was very excited to hear that R.E.M. has returned to form with it's latest release titled "Accelerate".

I will be downloading this today at Amazon and will get a review out as soon as I have listened to it a couple times. Buy it!

Funny - I queued this up first thing this AM and currently having it playing while perusing the Dolf Zone.

They definitely bring the Rawk back - I'm liking it.

That's good to hear. On a 10 song CD I want 7 rockers, 2 mids, and 1 ballad! That's the perfect mix...

REM is very much overrated, in my opinion.

Well then who would you put in your top 5 bands you filthy manimal?!

REM is an excellent band. I do however remember when they played a local college in the late 90s and Dolf dismissed them as "crappy college music" and refused to attend

No I *won't* edit, as it goes to show how your drug-addled mind is apparently failing you and filling your pretty little head with filthy lies.

Never in my life have I uttered those words in regards to R.E.M. *particularly* in the late 80's when they were without question my favorite band! "Life's Rich Pageant" and "Document" were in constant rotation. You sir are obviously losing what's left of your mind.

The only thing that I said that could be construed as remotely negative is that I much preferred R.E.M.'s Taft Theatre performance to the far larger and less intimate setting of Millet Hall/Miami U. However I *attended* that concert and had a blast. If I recall I made it all the way to the front row despite the threat of an ROTC beat down.
