Time Warner Cincinnati SDV & Tivo Tuning Adapter

It looks like Time Warner Cincinnati is finally implementing Switched Digial Video (SDV) when the new HD channels drop on November 19th. This is both good and bad. It's good because it will allow Time Warner to deliver more HD channels to its customers. It's bad because those with Tivo HD's and Series3's will be unable to access all of those new channels until a special "tuning adapter" is released "later this year."
Time Warner Cable has launched Switched Digital Video (SDV) in many neighborhoods around the country. This exciting new technology allows us to bring you many additional services, including new HD channels and HD versions of popular existing channels.

About SDV
Channels delivered using Switched Digital Video (“SDV”) are only transmitted over our cable system on an as-needed basis. As a result, SDV uses system capacity more efficiently than the traditional, always-on method. This frees up bandwidth and allows Time Warner Cable to offer its customers additional digital channels and HD digital channels. Some existing services may be delivered using SDV in order to make additional bandwidth available. Once channels are delivered using SDV, they will no longer be available to devices like TiVo DVRs unless you have the Tuning Adapter.

What this means for customers with TiVo®
Some channels may be delivered using SDV in order to make additional bandwidth available. Because TiVo DVRs are only capable of accessing our one-way services, some channels are not available on HD TiVo DVR unless you have a Tuning Adapter. Customers with TiVo Series 3, TiVo HD, and TiVo HD XL DVRs can order a FREE Tuning Adapter now. (Tuning Adapters are not designed to work with TiVo Series 2 DVRs and earlier products that do not require a CableCARD.)

To sign up for the FREE tuning adapter for Tivo HD & Series3 visit http://www.timewarnercable.com/Cincinnati/Products/Cable/sdv/default.html and go to the bottom of the page for the link.

Way to broaden the appeal of your site with a story focused on Cincinnati cable! You'll have a lockdown on the HD Tivo-owning Time-Warner cable-subscribing Cincinnati resident crowd!!

I now realize how stupid and ignorant you really are... This is an issue that brave Tivo HD-owning people all over this great country face. It's not just a Cincinnati issue.

Additionally, instead of being everything to everyone, I purposely have a narrow focus. That is the only way to stand out.

Super-additionally, I don't care if the DZ appeals to anybody! I do it completely for myself and for *future* (possibly alien) races who can actually appreciate and understand my ideas.

I remember Burger Time and Popeye! I also remember sneaking into that bar in Mt Washington to play Donkey Kong. Is your mom going to Thriftway this week????

Even if she were going, I wouldn't bring you because you never shared any of Mee-Maw's quarters.
